Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Select models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, self-empty and clean stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Find an application that lets you save maps, set schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of rooms and floors.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has flooring in the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms and a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was able to drive right up to walls without crashing into them and even managed to drive across thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one step. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and swung up when it reached carpets or rug.
The S1's docking station automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working efficiently. For this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning needs. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply dragging a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.
This robot combo has an easy interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically filled or empty. It also has a number of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can get stuck on small mats and rugs around my home (which you can alleviate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping is quite good as well, with a pair of spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. Mops can also be filled at the top of the station as they are required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure an effective, customized cleaning is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can easily move from one room to another without changing direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than other models however, and tends to leave a wide distance around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app is streamlined user interface that is designed to be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter the suction power, mop settings,
robotvacuummops and view 2D and 3-D maps. It is accessible via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will need a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are excellent in removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get every speck of dust. It's important to vacuum frequently, every week. This is especially important for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop designed specifically for this purpose. It is simple to connect to your home WiFI network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, which includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it does not have mopping capabilities, and also has an aluminum body.
The Q5 is one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've ever seen in this price range, even though it's not equipped to wipe your floor. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin by hand each time. It comes with a smart app that lets you schedule cleaning times and determine the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling system and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive, with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt, and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't clean up cat litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums can't. This device also collects dust in a larger bin that means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters which can further cut costs. This robot can also detect carpets and boost the suction if needed. You can also mark off areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
